Early childhood music
Early childhood classes are conducted at both Young and Temora studios, as well as in local preschools. Classes at our studios are attended by mothers/fathers/carers and children.
The early childhood music classes include activities designed to support development in areas such as
singing
chanting
movement
musical memory
playing non-melodic percussion instruments
improvisation
The children are encouraged to participate in singing, playing and dancing activities in a warm, friendly environment.
Music learning has been found to contribute to social, emotional, cognitive and language development, and the development of fine motor skills and co-ordination in young children.

Pre-instrumental classes
Pre-instrumental classes are designed for 5-6 year old children who are often in their first year of school.
These classes build on children’s developing singing and playing skills through activities focused on beat, rhythm, singing and movement.
Children will be guided to explore a range of instruments, from which they might choose to enrol in individual tuition.
